Closure of the Independent Living Fund

ILF users have been left shocked and extremely anxious by the announcement of its closure in 2015. Already closed to new applicants since May 2010, this decision was taken with no evidence of an equality impact assessment having taken place nor any consultation carried out with current and potential beneficiaries of the fund.

Signatories will be gathered up to the new year and then sent for response to Ministers.
 
We need your help as currently it’s just ILF users, Carers and campaigning group DPAC initiating this letter, yet we know there are several supporters out there!
 
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated as we join together to fight for the Right to live independently for current, and future disabled people who need extra funding to control their lives.
