Urgent Hardest Hit action: 10,000 signatures needed for Xmas card to Cameron and Clegg!!

The Hardest Hit consortium is planning the next action of the campaign. This "action" is to coincide with the Welfare Reform Bill reaching Report Stage in the House of Lords.

We are encouraging disabled people to sign this card The xmas card to mps to reinstate this message and the message reads as follows:

As part of this action we intend to send a giant Xmas card to the Government, signed by hopefully 10,000 plus people, with the aim to increase political pressure on the Government by demonstrating mass concern over how disabled people will be affected by proposals within the Welfare Reform Bill, particularly the time-limit on ESA and PIP proposals.

We encourage as many people to sign thecard and to get their message across. The card will read the following:

Dear David Cameron and Nick Clegg,

While we don't expect gifts this Christmas, we do want our basic rights protected and the support to enable us to live independently and with dignity. Please make the New Year something disabled people can look forward to by:

Not bringing in an arbitrary time-limit on Employment and Support Allowance for those who've paid into the system and still need support. Making sure that those who rely on Disability Living Allowance continue to receive the financial support they need through Personal Independence Payment.

If you would like to sign the xmas card and include a brief message of your own, please follow this link This is our last real opportunity to influence the WRB so let's make sure the action is BIG AND LOUD. We look forward to seeing the signatures flooding in!
