I would like to inform our readers that very sadly, I will be leaving UKDPC on 2 August. This is in order to take up a new position with Disability Cornwall as a Strategic Liaison Manager.


I have enjoyed the time I have spent at UKDPC organising and running our regional events and workshops. As part of the Disability LIB alliance, UKDPC will continue to facilitate future capacity building events for DPOs across the UK.


In my next role, I will be working with Disability Cornwall to create and strengthen links with local organisations, including DPOs, ULOs, and statutory authorities.


I will be sad to leave UKDPC. I have made many lasting contacts with staff and volunteers in DPOs throughout the UK. I have seen the valuable work you are doing, and the commitment you bring to your work. I admire the way you continue to battle – often against Local Authorities, with ever decreasing funds, and with small and shrinking workforces.
